Causes of skin diseases
Causes of skin diseases are various and complex. The skin is constantly exposed to external effects including infections (bacteria, viruses, protozoa, fungi, etc.) that may cause abnormal changes. On the other hand the skin is closely connected with internal organs so their diseases can also cause pathological processes. Individual predisposition, degree of the organism resistibility, and social factors (living and work conditions) play important part in the development of skin lesion.
Examples of direct influence of internal organs diseases on the skin condition are skin paleness at anemia, yellowness at hepatitis. Metabolic disturbances are also reflected on the skin: pancreatic diabetes (furunculosis, itching), vitamin insufficiency (color change).
Skin diseases symptoms
Clinical symptoms of skin diseases can be divided into several groups:
1. General symptoms (temperature rising, general weakness, etc.);
2. Subjective skin symptoms (sensitivity increase or decrease, itching, burning, numbness, pain, etc.);
3. Objective skin symptoms (reddening, peeling, etc.)
Every skin disease or dermatosis is presented with morphological elements (rash, eruption) that are commonly divided into primary elements, i.e. those that appear on the skin first, and secondary that appear as a result of disease development.
