Hair Transplantation Method
· Hair Transplantation method is a surgical treatment.
· Follicle transplantation is not a prophylaxis of hair falling out. Clinical guarantee is applied to hair transplantation only.
· Limited amount of hair bulbs can be used for transplantation. This amount is defined by the alopecia stage and area of donor zone (temples and back of the head).
· The number of hair follicles used for hair loss correction is less than the patient had lost during the disease. Therefore hair density in the transplantation area will be smaller than on the temples and the back of the head.
· Hair density can be corrected by additional surgeries.
Procedure result can be assessed not earlier than after 10 months since the moment of the surgery. Patient and doctor discuss the strategy of the surgery, modeling of the front line of hair growth, turn angle and slope angle.
Recommendations before the surgery:
· Stop taking acetylsalicylic acid preparations one week before the surgery.
· Do not drink alcoholic drinks before the surgery.
· Wash your hair thoroughly in the morning on the surgery day.
Recommendations during the surgery:
- Hair transplantation is one of the most comfortable surgeries because it is absolutely painless and is made under local anesthesia.
- During the first stage of the surgery (40-45 minutes) you will be lying face downwards
- During the second stage you will be in semisitting position
- After the surgery you can stay in the clinic or receive the recommendations and go home.
- During the early postoperative period you will receive anesthetic therapy that will prevent paizful effects.
Recommendations after the surgery:
- It is necessary to perform a redressing the day after the surgery. Doctor will determine the necessary number of redressings and intervals between them.
- For the first four days you will be wearing circular sporting headband that will cover the postoperative stitch area.
- Edemata can appear starting from the third day after the surgery. They will disappear in 3-4 days without additional treatment.
- It is necessary to wash the hair with soft shampoo according to the method prescribed by the doctor starting from the third day after the surgery. Special care for the transplantation area is needed during the first month.
- After hair transplantation scales can appear in the surgery area. They will fall off when washing during 12-14 days.
- Do not remove the scales yourself because it can negatively affect the result of the surgery.
- There is a cosmetic stitch on the back of your head. It will be removed absolutely painlessly on 14-16 day after the surgery. Do not wash your hair for 24 hours after the stitch removal. Quality of the scar cannot be determined prior to the surgery. Usually after 7-8 months even your hairdresser will not notice the scar.
- If megasessions are conducted (transplantation of 1000 grafts and more), sensitivity in the back of the head can be reduced for 6-7 months.
- Be careful when getting in a car in the first month after the surgery. Avoid head injuries, cut down your sporting activities for one month and your sexual life for three weeks.
- We recommend you to undertake a course of treatment with Rogaine preparation (minoxidil 2% solution for external use) in a month after the surgery.
- We recommend you to cut down smoking if you smoke. Changes in blood supply caused by smoking can significantly reduce the number of engrafted follicles and protract hair growth period
Clinical guarantees: the clinic shall perform hair follicles transplantation surgery according to Hair Transplantation standards. Repeated procedures can be performed not earlier than after 10 months since the first one. Complaints are not accepted if the patient violates doctor’s requirements and recommendations. |
