Preparations for injection correction

Modern methods of injection wrinkles correction use two types of preparations, based on botulinum toxin and hyaluronic acid.

Botulinum toxin is used in ultralow doses. It blocks mimic muscles removing the cause of wrinkles formation. Therefore botulinum toxin preparations are used for treatment of mimic wrinkles, like frontal wrinkles and “crow’s feet” around the eyes. At the same time these preparations can treat headaches caused by excessive tension of mimic muscles.

Hyaluronic acid preparations fill up hyaluronic acid deficit in skin tissues and emerging moisture deficiency in the place of wrinkle formation. Hyaluronic acid injection eliminates deep wrinkles in areas of active mimic muscles movements (e.g., nasolabial folds where botulinum toxin is quickly dissolved).

What wrinkles can be eliminated by injection methods?

Injection methods are recommended for elimination of small, medium and deep wrinkles on face, neck, decolette area, and other parts of the body. As a result existing wrinkles decrease and appearance of new ones is averted for the period of preparation action.

How fast is the result achieved?

The result is achieved immediately after first injection. The effect lasts for 6-8 months for hyaluronic acid preparation and for 4-6 months for botulinum toxin. After that second injection of a preparation is necessary, its effect will last for up to one year. Injection correction procedure

Injection of preparations is performed in clinic by sterile disposable instruments. Several intramuscular or intracutaneous injections are made that are virtually painless except for lips area where injections are made under local anesthesia. Injection procedure duration is up to 30-40 minutes.
