What is cosmetic tattoo?
Cosmetic tattoo is the procedure of injection of coloring substances into skin. The difference with usual tattoo is that they are injected not as deep and blood vessels and nerve endings are not hurt during the procedure.
Cosmetic tattoo can accentuate or change lip shape, make eyes more expressive and make eyebrows shape more correct.
Cosmetic tattoo can mask several types of cicatrices and scars by painting them in skin color.
Procedure result
Correct lip contour that remains for up to 5 years. It sustains heat, rain and snow, and also swimming in the seawater.
Procedure painfulness
During pigment application the patient feels tingling. Anesthesia is applied before the procedure to keep unpleasant sensations at minimum.
Side effects and risk
If the patient neglects prophylactic use of antiherpetic preparations, there is a possibility of appearance of herpetic skin rash on the lips and disappearance of pigment on these spots.

Tattoo (permanent make-up) procedure
Tattoo is made in clinic with special apparatus with disposable pigment caps and needles using special hypoallergic pigments. Pigments are suspensions of particles with 6 micron diameter that are made on vegetative or mineral base.
Local anesthesia is applied before the procedure.
Doctor chooses individual colors together with patient depending on hair color and skin type. The patient always makes the final decision. Contour of future tattoo is made with a special pencil and pigment is injected into skin with an appliance.
Duration of tattoo procedure is 1.5 to 2 hours. Skin displays inflammatory reaction on pigment as a foreign body, therefore up to 70% of pigment is lost during the period of rehabilitation. Because of this correctional procedure is performed virtually in all cases approximately in a month after the first procedure
Period of rehabilitation
Tattoo is a surgical operation that hurts top skin layer. Therefore this procedure requires special preparation and a period of rehabilitation. Patients that are inclined to herpetic reactions undergo prophylaxis with antiherpetic preparations during 5-7 days before the procedure.
During the first couple of weeks after the procedure antiherpetic preparations alternating with antibiotics are applied on the tattoo area. After the end of peeling doctor examines lip condition and performs contour correction if necessary. |
